Silent Lips

A part of my heart and soul seems now so fore lorn
My body wishes it had never born.
For the one who can bring me happiness and joy
Has locked himself behind a deep dark door.
It seems that he finds many things he must do
Yet he still says the words ” I love you!”
I shutter to think those are mere words dropped from silent lips.
Or that I am not the rose but only the aged rosehip.
I pray one day to be always by your side
Though I know from my destiny I cannot hide.
I shall smile and let the winds blow through my hair.
Forever shall my soul dwell in earth’s endless despair!
