My Grandaughters!
God made little girls of ribbons and lace
On Granny’s knee her He gently placed.
He took a pearl button and made a nose.
Little raindrops made He her toes.
He picked a star for the twinkle in her eye.
Honey for tears just in case she cried.
He chose cotton for her baby soft hair,
and poured fresh cream for her skin so fair.
Four candy canes formed her legs and arms.
Inside He filled her body with charm.
He made her heart of purest fine gold,
filled it with all the love it could hold.
He wrapped it up and called her YOU!
This is what I see when you come into view.
