A Romantic Love

I see you standing by the ocean looking out over the white-capped waves.
The water rushes up and kisses your dainty toes.
Your blue eyes are still haunted by his touch.
Yet on your fragile face a smile of love glows.

His hands warm come and surround you once more.
There is a gentle peace resting in your spirit free.
At last love has come and filled the void inside.
How wonderful a romantic love can still be.

I see you walk away through the salty ocean air.
Your footprints left behind in the watery soft sand.
How much I would give just to be where you are.
Only for a lifetime just to be holding his hand.
